Join us for a discussion with immigration experts, political leaders, and industry representatives on the importance of employment-based immigration to the American economy. Speakers will discuss a number of issues that are relevant to federal labs and their industry partners who understand the value of a diverse workforce, including H1B visas for skilled talent acquisition and attracting and retaining international graduate students.
Keynote speaker Jorge Lima is the senior vice president of policy at Americans for Prosperity. He is also the Vice President of Immigration at Stand Together, an organization working to solve society's most complex problems. He has also served as Strategic Policy Advisor to Luis Fortuño, the governor of Puerto Rico, and as an attorney for the City of Miami. Jorge is a member of the Florida bar and holds a JD from Georgetown University.
