Dawn Wellman, PhD, director of the Earth Systems Science Division at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, will present how RemPlex fosters technical stewardship and advances the R&D needed to translate science and engineering innovation into practical, adaptive, operational solutions to address complex site remediation.
RemPlex provides a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary, and multi-institutional forum led by PNNL—an international leader in complex site remediation—where past and present experiences are leveraged to:
* Generate efficient solutions for contaminated sites
* Help restore valuable natural resources
* Protect regional, national, and global water resources and aquatic ecosystems
We take an integrated approach to laboratory, field, and predictive site-specific analyses, adherence to obtaining the necessary understanding of processes for better decision-making, and partnerships with regulatory agencies to generate national and international guidance documents relevant to adaptive site management.
