NOTE from the organizers: We regret to inform you that our webinar scheduled for this afternoon, "The Value of Phase III," has been canceled. We understand that this change may cause great inconvenience for you and are sincerely sorry. The postponement date will be announced at a later time. We thank you in advance for your understanding.

Join the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration for a NOAA Technology Partnerships Office presentation! What's it about? SBIR, commercialization, small business!

The Small Business and Innovation Research (SBIR) program has three phases. Phase I - idea generation, Phase II - prototype development, and Phase III - Commercialization. Phase III is defined as an award that derives from, extends, or completes prior SBIR effort and is funded with non-SBIR funds. The objective of Phase III, where appropriate, is for the small business to pursue commercialization objectives resulting from the Phase I/II R/R&D activities.

The SBIR/STTR programs do not fund Phase III. At some Federal agencies, Phase III may involve follow-on non-SBIR/STTR funded R&D or production contracts for products, processes, or services intended for use by the U.S. government. Attendees at this seminar will gain a complete understanding of what a Phase III award is, how to identify it, what is the acquisition process, and how it can benefit NOAA.

About the Speaker: Tiffany House is a Commercialization Specialist who works with the NOAA Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program. Tiffany's job is to communicate with small business owners and provide them with the resources they need to develop their innovative technologies for the commercial sector. Tiffany obtained her B.S. degree in Economics from Central State University and her MBA from Trinity University.
