Description

Volpe's Security and Emergency Management Division identifies vulnerabilities, risks, and opportunities to improve the security of transportation systems, critical infrastructures, and government facilities.

Our team tests, evaluates, and implements innovative solutions using a systems approach, which can include policy, procedures, training, and technologies integrated to improve the safety and security of all transportation modes. By conducting training, exercises, seminars, and conferences with key stakeholders, we promote awareness of a wide spectrum of physical security, control systems security, cybersecurity, and operational management strategies and technologies.

Our team examines approaches to and conducts emergency response and recovery operations, improving public safety during critical times of need.
