Join National Security T2 and Industry Professionals at the FLC’s Innovation for Impact: Registration Now Open!

Registration is now open for Innovation for Impact: A National Security Technology Transfer Forum, taking place Dec. 1–3, 2026, at the National Conference Center in Leesburg, Va. The FLC’s three-day forum will bring together federal technology transfer professionals, laboratory leaders, legal experts, investors, entrepreneurs, and industry partners to examine how national security technologies can reach mission impact through public-private partnership with federal labs and agencies.

The program features educational sessions and panels on topics ranging from patent secrecy to modernizing the Department of War, along with keynotes, fireside chats, and networking opportunities. Sessions are organized into two learning tracks: Legal Frameworks for Technology Transfer and ORTA Implementation and Operations. Continuing Legal Education credits will be available for eligible sessions.

The first two days feature educational sessions, a keynote, and a fireside chat exclusively for federal employees and contractors, providing dedicated time for peer-to-peer learning and discussion within the national security technology transfer community. Industry partners will join the forum for a networking reception on Dec. 2, followed by Industry Engagement Day on Dec. 3, which will feature one-on-one networking with participating agencies and laboratories, as well as a panel and keynote on collaboration and the future of national security innovation.

Together, the three-day program will explore the legal, operational, and strategic challenges of national security technology transfer while creating opportunities to develop new approaches, strengthen partnerships, and connect mission-ready technologies with the organizations that can help advance them.

Registration will remain open through the final day of the event. View the full schedule and find travel and lodging information on the Innovation for Impact page. A National Conference Center room block is available at government rates and includes complimentary covered parking. To register, use the registration link.
