The Air Force Technology Transfer & Transition (AF T3) Program creates partnerships to link to transfer and exchanging knowledge, license intellectual property, and provide access to Air Force owned equipment and facilities. There are a variety of ways to partner with us, and we take a creative approach to exploring collaborative possibilities, and long term alliances. Whether our expertise is most useful as an extension of your own research and development efforts, one of our technologies is just what you’ve been looking for, or the possibility of discovering something together through collaborative research exists, we have the flexibility to be the kind of partner you need.
Many federal laboratories have Partnership Intermediary Agreements (PIAs) with entities that facilitate joint projects and accelerate technology transfer between the lab and private companies. These intermediaries help companies to identify federal technologies that can be licensed and commercialized. They also work to increase the likelihood of successful cooperative activities between the lab and small businesses.
The Air Force Technology Transfer & Transition Office is hosting a web-based Ask Me Anything event to discuss the topic of "Licensing".
This event will feature three panelists:
Mr. Chuck Figer (Division Chief, Intellectual Property Law Division, AFMC Legal Office)
Mr. John Schutte (Technology Transfer Specialist, 711th Human Performance Wing, ORTA)
Mr. Austin Leach (Associate Director, TechLink)
