DOT Celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act

On July 30, 2020, the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) will host a virtual ceremony celebrating the 30th anniversary of the enactment of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

This event will bring together leaders across the government to acknowledge accomplishments in transportation that have resulted from this landmark civil rights legislation. In addition to celebrating the ADA’s success, speakers will also discuss what actions need to be taken to ensure an accessible transportation future for all Americans. You’ll hear from Transportation Secretary Elaine L. Chao, DOT’s modal administrators, and other speakers that will be announced later this month.

The DOT is committed to providing equal access to this event for all participants. If you need an accommodation, please contact Alex Oster at [email protected] or 617-494-3539 to make a request no later than Thursday, July 23.
