Ecological Risk Assessment Approaches at PFAS-Impacted Sites

The Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP) and the Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP) have launched a webinar series to promote the transfer of innovative, cost-effective and sustainable solutions developed through projects funded in five program areas. The webinar series targets Department of Defense and Department of Energy practitioners, the regulatory community and environmental researchers with the goal of providing cutting edge and practical information that is easily accessible at no cost.

Webinar #109, on April 9 at noon Eastern time, is on Ecological Risk Assessment Approaches at PFAS-Impacted Sites.

Dr. Marisol Sepulveda, professor of ecotoxicology and aquatic animal health in the Department of Forestry and Environmental Sciences at Purdue University, will discuss "Development of PFAS Toxicity Reference Values in Amphibians for use in Ecological Risk Assessments of AFFF-Contaminated Sites."

Dr. Jason Conder, a principal at Geosyntec Consultants in Huntington Beach, California, will discuss “Guidance for Assessing the Ecological Risks of Threatened and Endangered Species at Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF)-Impacted Sites.”
