* Chris Poore, Senior Computer Engineer for the Systems Analysis and Exploitation Group at Assured Information Security (AIS)
Chris Poore has nearly 13 years of experience at AIS characterizing and exploiting cyber systems with a focus on RF-enabled devices. His expertise includes the reverse engineering of RF protocols, forensic testing of cybersecurity systems, discovering vulnerabilities in wireless systems, gaining access to systems via RF and administering RF collection events using a variety of hardware. He is the primary developer for the FISSURE software and has been modifying it since 2014. Poore actively searches for new RF targets and the latest software-defined radio and data analysis tools to integrate into FISSURE.
* Eric Thayer, Group Lead for the Systems Analysis and Exploitation Group at Assured Information Security (AIS)
Eric Thayer joined AIS in 2002 and has over 20 years of experience in the cybersecurity field. Thayer has spent much of his career performing security assessments and security related research for government agencies, state organizations and commercial entities. With a degree focused in computer security and formalized training in vulnerability identification, exploit development and reverse engineering, Thayer regularly serves as a qualified consultant to industry professionals, developers and academia. This allows him to serve as the “voice of the offense” and provide technical expertise in potential security threats and operational risks to systems. In his eighteen years at AIS, he has served as the lead engineer, conducting security assessments for software systems, networks and embedded systems which include smart phones, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) equipment, automobiles, radios and air vehicles. Thayer has also obtained several certifications including Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Certified SCADA Security Architect (CSSA).
