The International Space Station (ISS) is a one-of-a-kind research platform that is capable of groundbreaking innovations that are not possible on Earth. Just as importantly, the orbiting laboratory also provides a novel venue to inspire and engage the next generation of researchers and explorers. If you have an interest in learning more about how the space station enables research to advance scientific knowledge and demonstrate new technologies to benefit all of humanity, NASA and the ISS U.S. National Laboratory have an exciting event for you!

NASA’s Destination Station is an active outreach event with the goal of connecting companies, researchers, and educators to discuss how the ISS—our incredible laboratory in space—can advance science and technology development as well as educational outreach. Typically, Destination Station visits multiple cities around the country each year, but with the continued pandemic, we have shifted the platform to a virtual event. We invite all those interested in learning how the ISS touches our daily lives to attend International Destination Station.

The event will include a perspective from NASA astronaut Ricky Arnold on what it is like to live and work in space. Additionally, representatives from NASA and the ISS National Lab will provide overviews of the capabilities on station as well as current research opportunities to become part of the space station research community! After the main event, NASA and the ISS National Lab will host two breakout sessions available to attendees. One is focused on education programs and avenues to become more involved with promoting research on the ISS to students, teachers, and parents. The second session will focus on questions and answers regarding access to the space station and the steps interested investigators should take.
