Please join the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) to discuss grid-scale storage as the country moves toward higher levels of clean energy. NREL has previously released a first-of-its-kind visionary framework for the possible evolution of the stationary energy storage industry and the power system as a whole.
The vision outlines four phases from shorter to longer storage duration, which could result in hundreds of gigawatts of installed capacity and a significant shift in our electric grid, helping utilities, regulators, and developers plan for the future. Now, NREL has released another report in the Storage Futures Study (SFS) series that uses detailed modeling of the future electric grid that demonstrates the growth of storage that aligns with the four phases framework.
Join SFS analysts Paul Denholm and Will Frazier as they discuss both reports and the synergies between them.
