The Department of Energy (DOE) and National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) present a webinar to learn about the bidding and contract process. The webinar will be hosted by the Small Business Development Center at the University of Pittsburgh.

Hear about local success stories, develop new energy relationships, and start to secure new contracts. All types of business are encouraged to attend.

There are many ways for research organizations to collaborate with DOE and NETL. These areas include advanced manufacturing, carbon dioxide capture, artificial intelligence and data analytics, energy storage, sensor development, rare earth elements and critical minerals, supply chain and fulfillment, natural gas utilization, distributed intelligent controls, technology (hardware and software) integration and others. Providers of commercial services such as construction, data management, engineering and HVAC also are invited.

The event is an ideal way to learn more about NETL’s R&D programs and foster new collaborations. The agenda includes information about how federal funding opportunity announcements (FOAs) and Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs) are developed and issued. Additional discussion will address technology transfer.

NETL speakers for the webinar are Michael Nowak, manager, University and National Lab Partnerships, Thomas Feeley, manager, State and Local Partnerships, Sydni Credle, technology manager, Sensors and Controls, and Briggs White, technology manager, Crosscutting Research. Each panelist will share insights about opportunities in their broad areas of responsibility.
