Gain insight on recent COVID-19 vaccine research and its place in the history of vaccines at an online event hosted by the Rocky Mountain Regional US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Our panel includes guest speaker Michael S. Kinch, PhD, associate vice chancellor at Washington University in St. Louis. His scientific background includes the development of medicines for cancer, immunological, and infectious diseases. His current work focuses on understanding the blend of science, medicine, business, and law needed to support the development of new medicines. Dr. Kinch is the founder and director of the Center for Research Innovation in Biotechnology (CRIB).
Additionally, Rocky Mountain Regional Director, Molly Kocialski, will discuss patent and trademark updates during COVID-19, specifically touching on the USPTO’s COVID-related initiatives such as prioritized exams, voluntary early publication of applications, fast track appeals, and other incentivized innovation and/or developments.
