Advancing next-generation radio frequency platforms

A new program from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is enlisting industry and academic partners to leverage recent advancements in miniaturization, integration, and volume production of precision optical components through lithographic microelectronic fabrication. They are working on prototypes to provide outputs spanning 1-40 GHz, as well as encouraging partners to push boundaries in materials and system integration for even lower phase noise or tunability.
