Helmet Tech from DHS S&T and TTU Takes Firefighter Safety to New Levels

No single helmet design provides everything a firefighter needs—thermal and ballistic protection, compatability with communications devices and other accessories, and lightweight materials that don't stress the neck and spine. Now the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate is partnering with Texas Tech University to develop a helmet that has it all.
