NASA Partners with Remote Aircraft Company to Help Reduce Risks of Mid-Air Collisions

In a first-of-its-kind test, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) collected radar data during a controlled encounter between two remotely piloted airpcraft from industry partner Reliable Robotics. The findings will help NASA find ways to use existing primary surveillance radar from the Federal Aviation Administration to reduce the risk of mid-air collisions involving piloted aircraft.
