The Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO), using its Maryland Innovation Initiative (MII), has invested nearly $46 million to commercialize technologies coming from Maryland-based universities. Since its launch in 2021, MII has not only connected founders with programs under the TEDCO umbrella, but it has also provided some of the first sources of funding for many startups in Maryland. This has led to the creation of more than 120 companies, which could serve as prospective partners for federal labs throughout the nation. TEDCO is an FLC Partner that supports connecting federal innovations with industry to accelerate technology transfer.
