The Water Council is in the final weeks of its 2021 corporate-sponsored Tech Challenge focused on anti-fouling, anti-scale, anti-corrosion coatings, materials and technology. Apply by May 9 for a chance to partner with leading industry stakeholders to develop and commercialize promising innovations.
The organization is looking for innovative solutions that reduce scale, corrosion and fouling for pipes, tanks, valves and other equipment that comes in contact with water. This can include intellectual property from a federal laboratory, ongoing lab research in a related technical area, or independent research activity or innovation outside the lab.
Selected applicants will present their innovations to the corporate research and development (R&D) teams of A. O. Smith Corporation, Badger Meter and Watts Water Technologies to discuss the potential for joint commercialization and access to sponsoring companies’ R&D expertise. Applicants can explore multiple prospective engagement paths with the corporate sponsors, including feedback from the industry R&D teams, the potential of co-development, cooperative agreements, piloting, licensing, acquisition and more.
