Description

The Aircrew Environmental Hazards Labadvises on or supports programs requiring input with respect to environmental hazards to pilots, crew members, and ground handling personnel. In addition, this lab focuses on exhaust plume surveys, infrared thermography, acoustic measurement; interior/exterior noise levels, speech intelligability, cockpit environment assessment including air quality, temperature, ambient noise and vibration evaluation.

Ground and flight research and testing is performed in many areas, including biodynamics, thermal stress, physiology, acoustics, cockpit air quality issues and ergonomic/biomechanics.
