Description

The Charles L. Bartberger Modeling and Simulation lab is a computer modeling and simulation facility for underwater acoustic sensor performance prediction and ASW field modeling of sensor systems, and interactive war gaming.

Specific functions such as; parametric comparisons, pre-test predictions, post-test calibrations, and sea test reconstructions as well as concept studies have been performed for major programs such as ADAR, AEER, SWALAS.

The facility has all the current Navy approved underwater acoustic propagation and tactical decision aid models as well as access to all environmental.Models supported include GSM, ASPM, BAM, MSASM, HELFIRE, SIIP, ASPECT, ASTRAL, PLRAY, FAME, and IMAT.Analysis products include transmission loss, beam noise, field Pd, and array gain other acoustic and environmentally derived parameters. SPIRNET access permits real time connectivity and networking with at sea exercises and experiments.
