Description
The Magnetics Processing Lab equipped to perform testing of magnetometers, integrate them into aircraft systems, and perform data analysis, including noise reduction and detection.
This lab istheNavy's premier site for airborne magnetics development. Key personnel have up to 30 years of experience in the field, and they were instrumental in the development of the current 208 magnetometer airborne system. Recent work includes system integration of a new laser pumped total field magnetometer system that has 0.3pT/root(Hz)sensitivity.
In addition, the Magnetics Processing lab has expertise in testing airborne magnetic sensors/systems and in developing data collection hardware/software andin systems integration of new sensors into Naval aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles. It is also a world leader in the development of noise reduction algorithms.
