Description

The Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) is the most complex astronomical observatory ever built on Earth. Teams from North America, East Asia, and Europe merged projects to develop this gigantic array together in northern Chile. The NRAO contribution is managed through the North American ALMA Science Center (NAASC) located in Charlottesville, Virginia.
