Job Title: FLC Marketing and Communications Intern

Reports to: FLC Marketing and Communications Manager

The Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer (FLC) is the formally chartered, nationwide network of over 300 federal laboratories, agencies, and research centers, that fosters commercialization, best practice strategies, and opportunities, for accelerating federal technologies out of the labs and into the marketplace.

This is a remote position.

FLC Mission: To support federal laboratories in maximizing the impact of technology transfer for the benefit of the United States.

Position Overview:

The Marketing and Communications Intern will support the marketing and communications team on a variety of projects that advance organizational outreach and visibility. Responsibilities may include drafting and editing articles, assisting with video planning and scripting, conducting research, collecting and synthesizing information, reviewing materials for clarity and consistency, and providing general project support. Interns are encouraged to contribute new ideas and may have opportunities to propose or lead discrete projects with approval from the Marketing and Communications Director.

Qualifications

  • Completion of at least some undergraduate coursework is required 
  • Interest in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field 
  • Relevant coursework, experience, or demonstrated interest preferred but not required 
  • Strong writing, research, and organizational skills 
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks 
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
