FLC National Meeting to Feature IP and Tech Transfer Professional Session Tracks

New to the FLC national meeting this year are session tracks! Featuring two different session tracks—the Intellectual Property (IP) track and the Technology Transfer (T2) Professional track—the meeting is designed to meet the professional needs and interests of its attendees.

This year’s national meeting will take place April 25 – 27 in beautiful downtown San Antonio, Texas, and is centered around the theme of “Spurring Innovation Through Technology Transfer.” The FLC is anticipating several hundred attendees, and plans to kick up the dust on current T2 practices and find new ways to wrangle disruptive technologies for market impact.

Each track covers topics that will address current hot issues in the T2 community and offer insights into new strategies for strengthening federal commercialization efforts. Attendees will hear case studies of T2 success stories and learn tips from seasoned T2 experts in offices nationwide that they can apply in their own offices.

The IP and T2 Professional tracks include the following sessions:

IP Session Track

  • Intellectual Property Strategy
  • Open-Source Software Panel
  • Patent Infringement

T2 Professional Track

  • What’s the Most Innovative Way You Have Seen a Tech Transfer Mechanism Used?
  • Study and Profile of Tech Transfer Offices
  • Human Element Panel – featuring scientists and researchers from Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, USDA – ARS National Laboratory for Agriculture and the Environment, and EPA National Risk Management Research Laboratory
