Thanks to the launch of the Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer’s (FLC) online business resource tool, FLC Business, anyone can advance their business or research and development (R&D) with help from free federal laboratory resources.

The R&D 100 Conference was launched in 2015 as an educational event that celebrates the historic R&D 100 Awards and provides a new, in-depth conference that brings together the unique opportunities for R&D professionals to learn, network, and collaborate.

Throughout the R&D 100 Conference, cross-disciplinary sessions address a variety of important new developments. Keynote speakers and breakout dialogues provide R&D trends, case studies, and more as the conference creates collaborative spaces for sharing ideas and networking with industry peers.

John Dement is the Director of Technology Commercialization in the Indiana Office of Defense Development (IODD). Since fall 2014, he has been on loan from the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division under the Intergovernmental Personnel Act. In this position, he is helping to establish a statewide technology transfer (T2) and commercialization model, and capability leveraging of federally funded innovations and assets.

FLC Member-at-Large Janeya Griffin of NASA Armstrong will also be speaking at the conference in a session entitled “Commercializing Federal R&D: Secrets to Startup Success.” In addition, NASA Technology Transfer Program Executive Daniel Lockney will be taking part in a panel entitled “R&D Technology Transfer Forum: Unlocking the Potential.”
