Uniformed Services University - Detecting Brain Injury

TBI 1438012603
The Center for Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine (CNRM) at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) was established as a collaborative intramural federal program involving the DOD and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), bringing together clinicians and scientists across multiple disciplines to catalyze innovative approaches to traumatic brain injury (TBI) research. Biomarkers to detect post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and TBI have been identified at USU in the Department of Anatomy, Physiology, and Genetics for the development of diagnostic tests that will have a major impact on the detection, management, and treatment of brain-injury patients, including warfighters.
