Technology Transition Success Story: U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM)

The Technology Transition Success Story will feature the U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), a Combatant Command that has used Technology Transfer authorities since 2007, examines new technologies and innovative techniques for global DoD logistics.  Employing CRADAs and EPAs, USTRANSCOM investigates non-federally developed innovations for value to future capabilities and understands the challenges of integrating with existing DoD systems.

This presentation describes a range of USTRANSCOM investigations using T2 “spin-in” techniques and illustrates how they have shaped future capability strategy.  Techniques that keep Technology Transfer in harmony with requirements and acquisition processes are included as part of the lessons learned from USTRANSCOM’s venture into the partnership potential of Technology Transfer.

The Technology Transition Success Story Series aims to enhance our ability to train and support the laboratory workforce with the necessary skills and tools to continue supporting our missions.
