In this training webinar, The University of Texas at San Antonio's Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) will host small business program staff from the Office of Small Business, Defense Health Agency (DHA). DHA staff help advise the DHA Deputy Director on all small business matters and strive to maximize the contributions of small business in support of DHA acquisitions. In addition, DHA staff provide leadership to the DHA components to meet the needs of our nation's Military Health System and create opportunities for small businesses while ensuring each tax dollar is spent responsibly. DHA’s vision is create an environment in which DHA recognizes the value of and engages small businesses as critical suppliers of required healthcare capabilities.
The DHA Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP), located in Falls Church, Virginia, is attempting to reach small businesses interested in acquisition opportunities supporting the healthcare needs of our military beneficiaries. The presentation will provide a brief overview of DHA OSBP as a resource and advocate for small businesses, review of small business performance, Department of Defense goals, trends, common NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) codes contracted for in DHA and how to register for vendor briefs with the DHA OSBP. Following the presentation there will be a panel discussion where DHA panelists will entertain questions from the audience.
Finally, those businesses who registered for the webinar and desire to schedule a 10-minute brief with DHA following the webinar may do so by submitting a request via a separate link to the DHA monitored drop box.
