Accurate COVID-19 sensor developed by JHU and NSF

June 7, 2022

Engineers at Johns Hopkins University (JHU), supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) have developed a COVID-19 sensor that addresses the limitations of the two most widely used COVID-19 tests: PCR and rapid antigen tests. The sensor technology is as convenient as a rapid antigen test and very simple to use, in that no additional chemical modifications are required. The sensor is not yet available and the team is pursuing a patent and potential license for commercialization purposes.
