(WASHINGTON, DC — September 18, 2025) — The Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer (FLC) has sent its fiscal year 2024 (FY24) Annual Report to members of Congress and the President, highlighting the successes of the FLC’s 50th Anniversary year. Each year, the FLC delivers the Annual Report to elected officials to highlight the organization’s successes and its role in bringing innovation and value to the American people.
FY24 was another excellent year for the FLC, during which it achieved and exceeded its goals of assisting federal laboratories with partnerships to bring economic impact and public benefit, showing a return on investment to the American taxpayer, and helping promote commercialized technologies that change lives, strengthen the economy, and contribute to national security. The FLC offered more webinars to support our community’s continual skill building, reached nearly 15% audience growth across all channels, and saw record-breaking attendance at the annual National Meeting.
“We are thrilled with the work our team continues to do,” said Paul Zielinski, FLC Executive Director. “Our nation’s federal laboratories are constantly innovating to enhance the American economy and bring a return on investment to the taxpaying populace. The FLC’s work to accelerate those efforts has really shone through in recent years, culminating in more than 5,000 total engagements to our FLC Learning Center, a notable jump in total engagements, and more than 4,500 attendees at all FLC events.”

These figures demonstrate the FLC’s value in supporting the federal technology transfer ecosystem and the laboratories and workers who make it go. The FLC’s mission is to enable and champion technology transfer from federal laboratories by equipping tech transfer professionals with resources, training, recognition, and opportunities to connect with industry, academia, and entrepreneurs.
