FedEx Corp has licensed a video copyrighted by the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) on how to use a tourniquet to stop life-threatening bleeding.
The educational video was developed as part of the “Stop the Bleed” initiative by the National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health (NCDMPH) at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences (USU).
HJF granted a non-exclusive license so FedEx’s Safety Department can use some of the instructional information from the video for internal safety training. The non-exclusive license with HJF allows FedEx to use the “Stop the Bleed” video in all internal safety trainings. FedEx is currently distributing tourniquets to select locations.
