Photo shows leaders of the new Center for Steel Electrification by Electrosynthesis (C-STEEL) working in the Electrochemical Discovery Laboratory at the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Argonne National Laboratory. The center aims to develop a cost-effective process that will replace blast furnaces in steelmaking, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
