On Pikes Peak, more than 14 thousand feet above sea level, researchers from the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine are testing the individualized hypoxia monitoring tool to predict acute mountain sickness four to eight hours in advance of the AMS. This will help prevent casualties and allow leaders in the field to minimize injuries and maximize performance of the Squad.
