Photo of the Week: Silent Swarm 2023

Silent Swarm is a series of events centered on experimenting with Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations technologies. Innovators can experiment within an operationally relevant environment that is adaptable and organized, while receiving subject matter expert inputs and the opportunity to test new iterations. In 2023 this event was held at the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) and around Thunder Bay in Alpena, Michigan. Some of the testing equipment includes a tethered, balloon-like aerostat flying overhead, manned/unmanned surface vessels in the water, and small unmanned airborne systems. The Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane Division's Technology Transfer Office facilitated the CRADAs for this event.
