Static flight testing of a Skedco Rescue System from the U.S. Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory’s HH-60M research helicopter on Fort Novosel, Alabama. The Skedco is a plastic basket that encapsulates a patient to be hoisted into a MEDEVAC aircraft. The individual on the ground holds the tag line steady to prevent spinning of the patient. USAARL engineers test and evaluate equipment, like the Skedco, in flight environments to ensure airworthiness.
