A U.S. Coast Guard Research and Development (RDC) Team operating at the Army’s DEVCOM Robotics Research Collaboration Campus (R2C2) evaluate the Strategic Quad for Reconnaissance & Logistics (SQRL) Uncrewed Ground Vehicle. Leveraging technological advancements in autonomy SQRL is a deployable and customizable sensor platform capable of supporting a variety of Coast Guard polar operations.
The RDC team joined Army scientists to brainstorm different Arctic/Polar concept of operations (USCG and DoD CONOPs) matching with sensor/AI capabilities. The picture inset is RDC LTJG Wismar readying SQRL. This experimentation underscores what joint collaboration in Technology Transfer can produce within the National Security Research Enterprise.
