Gap Funding and Accelerator Programs (GAP) are essential resources in supporting the de-risking and commercialization of university technologies and startups. These proof-of-concept programs, startup accelerators and university venture fund programs offer a unique combination of capital, mentorship, space and other innovation support.
To succeed, university GAP initiatives are constantly in need of complementary innovation, facilities, mentorship and expertise to assist in the evaluation and development of their most promising, nascent technologies and startups — resources that the FLC has in abundance.
This webinar will bring together two groups — the Federal Laboratory Consortium (FLC) and the Gap Fund and Accelerator Program Community of Action (GAP COA) — to discuss current collaborative opportunities and possibilities for the future.
Jacob Johnson, innovosource, and university GAP leaders will overview their programming and process, highlighting areas of potential collaborative opportunities in technology assessment/development and startup support.
Jessica Moose from Sandia National Laboratories and Dana Catron from NMSU Arrowhead Center, will provide a case example of how they have worked together to support innovation and entrepreneurs.
We will then discuss avenues for both groups to work together to accelerate innovation and startup impact.
Hosted by the FLC's Andrea Nelson.
