2026 FLC Award Judges

Call for 2026 FLC Award Judges

Do you want to participate in choosing the best technology transfer success stories? If the answer is yes, then volunteer to judge the 2026 FLC Award submissions! Judging is a great opportunity to review award-winning applications firsthand. The next success story may be your own!

Below are details about the judging process.

  • Judges must be an FLC member working at a member laboratory. Retired FLC members are also eligible to judge.
  • Judges will be provided with an easy-to-use scoring rubric for guidance and consistency. Submissions opened on September 8 and will close on December 12.
  • The judging period will begin on December 19 and run through January 23.
  • You do not have to judge every single submission!
    • Last year, on average, judges reviewed approximately 30 applications each.
    • Judges recuse themselves from judging applications that they participated in writing or worked on as a team.
    • The more volunteer judges we have, the fewer each judge needs to review!

We realize these are challenging times and appreciate your consideration to review the submissions. We are on a tighter review deadline than in previous years and are grateful for your dedication in honoring the best in technology transfer on a shortened timeline!
