This tool offers three powerful ways to explore federal facilities and funding:

Regional Heat Map: Easily identify concentrations of federal laboratories and facilities across the nation. In this view, areas rich in facilities are highlighted in red, while those with fewer are shown in blue. You can filter by region by clicking on the tile labeled with that region on the map and even zoom in to explore at the street level.

State-by-State: Quickly see whether a state has many or few federal facilities, with high-volume states in red and low-volume states in blue. Select a state to view a list of facilities located in that state with key information about each.

Federal Funding Report: At a glance, identify intramural and extramural federal funding for research and experimental development by state or agency.
