Some of the innovative technologies developed by federal laboratories are more impactful for certain areas of the country than for others. That’s why the FLC’s six geographical regions are essential to achieving the Consortium’s mission to increase the impact of federal technology transfer.
For example, technologies related to managing and preventing wildfires are particularly useful in the Western states, while technologies related to hurricane preparedness and clean-up are more applicable to the Southeast.
