Update: NIDA and our international partners work diligently to promote adoption of evidence-based interventions for addiction. Now, it’s our turn to follow evidence-based recommendations to address the global COVID-19 pandemic.
We are sad to report that the 2020 NIDA International Forum will not be held. Hosting a meeting that would attract more than 200 scientists from more than 50 countries is not compatible with efforts to slow COVID-19 transmission.
For individuals whose abstracts were accepted for presentation at the 2020 NIDA International Forum, you will have the option of having your abstract included in the NIDA International Drug Abuse Research Abstract Database.

Join the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) International Program for the 2020 NIDA International Forum, which will be held June 19–22, 2020, at The Diplomat in Hollywood, Florida. The nearest international airports are Miami International and Fort Lauderdale—Hollywood International.
The Forum research symposium, poster session, and network-building activities focus on the range and quality of drug abuse research conducted around the world. Participants meet talented colleagues and learn about drug abuse research and policy issues in other countries as well as the NIDA-supported fellowships and other programs that can support international collaborations.
