Lehigh University, U.S. Army Research Lab to develop next-generation metallic alloys

A new agreement will help develop a new class of materials for Army engines and hypersonics. Lehigh University, in partnership with The Ohio State University, has entered into a $25 Million Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Army Research Lab to develop novel structural materials for high-strength applications. Three projects will address the critical need for longer-lasting, more resilient alternative structural materials for use in advanced material systems such as hypersonic missiles.
