The U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) has furthered the reach and capabilities of its rapid urban plume modeling and hazard assessment system, CT-Analyst™, by providing a commercial license to Safe Environment for the fields of use of public safety, industrial safety and monitoring, and environmental monitoring. In this NRL photo, you can see CT-Analyst™ in action.

CT-Analyst™ is a tool that can provide accurate, instantaneous, three-dimensional predictions of chemical, biological, and radiological (CBR) agent transport in urban settings. In the event of a chemical, biological or radiological incident, CT-Analyst™ can provide first responders with faster, more accurate information that can mean the difference between life and death for victims. The technology can prevent as many as 85 percent of the fatalities that could occur in an incident.

As we reported in 2013, CT-Analyst™ was a key part of the defenses in place during the 2009 and 2013 presidential inaugurations.
