New FLC “What Is Technology Transfer?” Video Available for Laboratory Use

When it comes to marketing your technologies and laboratory resources, does it feel like there is a disconnect between you and industry? Like they’re not getting the full picture of your laboratory’s R&D efforts? And probably have no idea what the term “technology transfer” (T2) means? Well, the FLC is here to help demystify the business of working with the government, specifically its federal laboratories.

The FLC is pleased to release its new “What Is Technology Transfer?” video for laboratories to share and utilize for marketing purposes. Like the rest of the T2 community, the FLC wants to help businesses and innovators understand what T2 is, as well as share its significant impact on our economy and society.

Geared to an industry audience, the video explains how the T2 process works and focuses on the numerous resources that federal labs have accessible to businesses through licensing, partnerships and cooperative agreements. Also featured are highlights of successful commercialization stories such as the Department of Defense (DOD)-developed GPS technology, NASA’s memory foam, and laboratory footage from Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL).

If you haven’t seen the video yet, please take the time to view it on our YouTube channel https://youtu.be/KrhpLt0-auw. The video is free for any member agency or laboratory to share and use to spread the word about the T2 process.
