We’re counting down the days to the new year in style with our 2017 FLC Planner! Featuring an array of spectacular images, the FLC Planner showcases the innovative research and development that takes place across our federal laboratory system.

The call for laboratory image submissions for the 2017 Planner took place from May through August 2016 and selections were then ranked and voted on by the FLC Communications Committee to meet the following criteria:

  • Relevance to technology transfer
  • Engaging imagery
  • Impact on the promotion of technology transfer.

This year’s Planner finalist collection did not disappoint. From Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s 3D-printed technology to Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s Polyelectrolyte Enabled Liftoff (PEEL) process, the 2017 Planner provides a powerful depiction of the scientific discoveries and technological advances that are produced to improve our country’s social and economic welfare. These carefully curated images celebrate each federal agency’s commitment and dedication to the evolution and transfer of technologies.
