This Thursday, Join FLC Office Hours With John Dement

Mentor post

Have a question or a challenge that’s been bugging you at work? Stop by our online office hours this Thursday, at 2:30 p.m. EDT, to seek guidance from July’s mentor, John Dement.

In his unique position “on loan” to the state of Indiana from his lab, NSWC Crane, John has an inside perspective on connecting federal lab capabilities with their region’s economies. His expertise with economic development, revitalizing a lab T2 program, and partnership intermediaries makes him a fount of knowledge and suggestions. And, as a veteran FLC trainer and board member, he’s a great resource for your basic questions.

John will be online this Thursday, July 14, from 2:30 to 3:00 p.m. EDT, so drop in to ask him for advice on your T2 questions.

All year, we’re hosting office hours on the second Thursday of every month to help you connect with mentors like John. It’s a great chance to ask questions in a low-pressure environment. Since each session is just an informal chat with an expert, there’s no need to preregister. Whether you’re looking for guidance on a specific problem, need a recommendation for a good resource or tool, or want career advice, mentors are available to help.

Drop in on our office hours and ask John your questions this Thursday, July 14! Learn how at our calendar event for this session.

New this year, the mentorship program is designed to help you get to know some of the FLC’s most seasoned experts. You can seek their guidance through these office hours, post questions on the FLC forum, or email mentors (including John) directly to set up a private conversation.
